5-11-2010 Grandpa visits

Well today is tuesday, I had talked to my dad about having a scanner, I want to take some old photos and digitize them, he found it and is bringing it over tonight. I figure as long as he's coming over might as well have dinner. Well Meeka was a little shy at first but then warmed up to him, wanted to show him all her cool stuff, got on his lap showed off her book, her stickers and her building blocks. It was really cute, Unfortunately the scanner didn't work with out computer, but dad got some good spaghetti dinner and dessert afterwards. Then after we put Meeka down we played some wii sports. We had a lot of fun, the wii is pretty fun when you have a few people to play it with. Nixon wants to get the bar games one where there is darts and pool and other things, maybe later. Right now I'm just concerned with paying off all our credit cards. It seems like as soon as we get one paid off something comes up that we need to use it, example my stupid car. I feel like I can't ever get a step ahead of the game. I wish it were that easy. I would love to start planning for baby #2 but I'm sure that once I'm pregnant there will be plenty of time exactly 9 months. little steps like getting sizzles trained will be our saving grace. If he's not trained and we bring another one into the mix I think that's just a recipe for disaster. My brother also called and said that he's found an apt that he likes out in Mound. He needs to go fill out the credit check and references so hopefully he'll pass and finally get out of living with my dad. I honestly think that is the best thing for him. It's not healthy for either one of them to be there. Jeremy needs to grow up, get his own place and be concerned with his own life and let my dad be on his own. THink of himself first for a change and what he wants and needs from his own life. My dad just needs to be on his own, I think only then will he finally maybe realize how important family is when he's by himself. I've been really working with Meeka also lately with her numbers and letters. I don't want her to be slow when it comes to those things. She still doesn't say a lot of words which scares me but that's o.k. I guess. Well that's it for now

5-10-2010 Manic Monday

well today was a manic monday can we say!! Meeka got up too early again I knew it was going to be a hard day, we also got sizzles a kennel and he's trying to sleep in it at night, because Nixon nor I want to sleep with him because he wakes us up at night and it's too uncomfortable. So this morning he was crying early in the morning than Meeka was up. She was up and down sleeping then not sleeping, wanting to go lay in her crib all day long. Nixon got home and he wanted to go use our Khans GC so I got Meeka ready and off we went. She did pretty good at the restraunt. We have avoided going out with her because she has a tendency to throw fits and food and it is just a hassle. But this trip went pretty good. She drank some water from the cup with a straw and blew some bubbles too. It was pretty cute. She ate the noodles and the rice and a little bit of chicken. So it was a good time out. Mother's Day

well happy mother's day to me :) I think back the past few years and this is a day that I remember more than my actual birthday, it's that much more special to me. A day to celebrate being a mom and raising a beautiful child that I have. My first mother's day when I was pregnant with meeka nixon and I did brunch at Fletchers which is my favorite place ever to have brunch. Last year Nixon did an Awesome collage of all Meeka's baby pics together on the PS3 to like a video thing it was great it made me cry a little bit. Today I got breakfast made for me, then some quiet time to myself, Nixon went out with meeka got me some flowers, a card and a really cool flower ring that I was looking at from Pier1 He said that Meeka held onto it the whole way home and that she really loved it. Once they got home Meeka signed the card and I've been wearing my ring ever since, it's kinda big looking on my finger, but I love the fact that every time I look down at something so beautiful I think of my little beautiful girl :) Even when she's throwing the biggest tantrum in the world!!

I got the opportunity to talk to my dad about a scanner, I want to digitize some old photo's I've been thinking about putting together a movie for my mom for a late mother's day gift. I think that it would be really cool. She's been such a wonderful mom to me and an example. She's always been there for me and a true friend. It's funny now that I have been home with Meeka I call and talk to her every week, just to say hi, check in and say I love her. Once you have your priorities in line, Family first everything seems to just work it's way out. I do hope though that soon we will be able to grow our little family, into a semi little family :) But in due time when the time is right. That's it for today

Saurday I want a re-do

Well today was just an ugh day from the beginning. I swear I think Meeka is teething so she was up at 7am. That for starters is just trouble with her because she doesn't get enough sleep when she gets up that early. I know you're saying 7am early, well for her it is she is just like an alarm almost every day at 8:30 on the dot. So I knew we were in for a bad day. She got up and threw a fit for starters, she didn't want the food we were giving her, yet she was hungry, so we tried yogurt, she threw the yogurt all over herself and nixon, I came over to help give her her medicine, that ended up all over the floor too. Needless to say then breakfast got a little over-done. We struggled through everything, she finally went down for her nap around 11, she slept until almost 2. Which was much needed time for us to clean up and go back for a nap too. Then off we were to the store to get more medicine and look for a couple other things. We got my mother's day pie and gifts early. I wanted some pics developed and framed, so I got to go pick out the frames, They're absolutely beautiful and I love them. Still putting finishing touches on making our house a home :) Meeka took a little snooze in the car and then we were home to have some chicken and potatoes for dinner and crash for the night.

Thursday new toothbrush

Well, today was a pretty yucky day outside, we've had construction workers digging up the front corner of our house to put in a new sewer or sidewalk or something or other so it's been pretty crazy around here lately. I took the time for Meeka and I to do our typical grocery shopping day. Meeka has been teething a little bit lately and I saw the cutest toothbrush at the store so we decided to get it. Oh my goodness does she absolutely love it, it's a hello kitty electric one. Every single day she has been brushing her teeth almost all day long. It's been the funniest ever!! That's our big news for the day today, besides that not much to talk about.

cinco de mayo

yea, cinco de mayo, well I can officially say that yes I do have PMS, I can just feel myself being short and having hardly any patience, especially with Nixon. So hopefully this week will go by quickly. I was looking at bassinets for baby #2 whenever that will be. But I did find one that I really love it's side by the bed bassinet and it's good for up to 6 months. So that gives Meeka even more time to have her room by herself.

Anyway in celebration of today I did enchilladas yummo they were really good. Meeka helped mix the filling of them which was taco turkey, black beans, onions, and cream of mushroom soup. They were really really good. Then after Meeka went to sleep Nixon and I got to watch cougar town and Happy Town, two new shows that I found to be really good, Cougar town is pretty funny while Happy town is a murder mystery sci fi show and it's just completely off the wall creepy. I love it though. I can now watch those shows again now that Nixon is home at night I feel safe and sound once again. Besides that it was pretty much a chil lax type day. Until tomorrow

Sunday 5-2-2010

Well today was going to be a quiet day since the day before was so much running around, I was craving a salad form Sunsets all day, but we settled for Punch pizza and the salad there, We went to Target and bought a new camera, we both wanted one that fit in our pockets, we ended up going because the crib we bought yesterday went on sale and we needed a price adjustment SHA SHING$$$ anyway I'm still thinking about buying another one for baby2 someday, so this way they'll match :) The crib we bought was beautiful!. Well after the target mumbo jumbo we were off to EP for some punch, we got our awesome pizza and salad, then we swung by CAM RAHN for some chinese to go for later. I so wish that we lived in EP it would be the BEST!!! Everything you need is right there!!! anyway after food it was homeward bound for a little bit of fun in the yard . Then off to bed it was.

Saturday Crazy day 5-1-2010

Well today was a crazy day I knew that I wanted to go to the mall and get Meeka some new jammies because she's getting too tall for her 18m ones so she needed to go up to 24 . So it started getting everyone fed and then off to the mall we went. She was such a good girl it was unbelievable. Lately she's been really fussy in public and makes things hard for us to get anything done. We started off going to carters and getting her 3 jammies, I didn't get a lot because I'm not sure how they're gonna fit. then Old Navy to get Nixon some jeans and I wanted to look for some new shirts, I've been really bored with my waredrobe lately it's so bla! So anyway I couldn't find anything so we went next door to charlotte Russe. yes I know that it's a teeny bopper and very trendy store but it doesn't hurt to look, and surprisingly enough I found 2 shirts that were AWESOME and bought some tanks for the summer :) After that it was off to baby gap for meeka and to get her some jeans, they have adjustable waist which now is a MUST for her, she's too skinny for the gymboree stuff and it just falls off of her, so I get her shorts and jeans there now. Afterwards it was up to the top for some well needed food!!! Oh I forgot that we got her some little tennis shoes at gymboree that were clearanced out and ooh soo cute.

Then we got home for a much needed nap and thought that we were just going to rest after that. NOPE, found out that the crib that we have for Meeka was re-called so after she took her nap we took it apart and off to Target to get a new one. We ended up spending more money than the other one cost but this one is Delta, it doesn't have a drop side and is absolutely beautiful!! After all this running around putting the new crib together it was off to the Duran's to watch the fight. By this time it was almost Meeka's bed-time, so I was really scared how she was going to be, we packed the pack and play for her to go to sleep in.

We got to the Duran's got some food and started watching the fight. meeka played really good with her BFF just for about an hour then she wanted to go to sleep. We put her down and she was a good girl all night. I couldn't believe it. We actually had some adult time with our friends. It was amazing!!! After the fight we bundled her up and home we went.
