sicker than sick

well, it's been a few days since I've posted, I'll summarize, basically Friday, Sat, Sunday, I was secluded to the bedroom/bathroom. It was horrible I was throwing up and had diahrea all three days, Nixon was such a trooper and went out and got everything that we needed from soup, to TP to pedialite for meeka, I finally haven't felt 100% back to normal until yesterday. I had been still getting stomach aches and headaches so yesterday I had none and it was a good day. We went to the park and had fun with Meeka too.

I got myself a moms day present it's a dish coupon that I purchased so I got like $50 off 4 meals and 2 sides so I'm going to go in on Friday and put them together while Nixon watches meeka for me. I'm really excited. not only do I get to do some good cooking by myself, but it'll be really good food :) some of my fav things. Well hopefully the rest of the week will be good.

Yesterday we dropped my car off to get fixed, to our dismay my warranty was over, I swear I thought it was 100,000 miles but I guess there was an exp date also, so hopefully this will not cost us too much money. We're getting an oil change and it's gonna cost $40 just to look at the front end. I know it's the struts or ball joints or whatever the heck it's called on my car, which last time was around $500 YUCK!!! I so would want to spend that money on a play climber for meeka. anyway not too much fun for now. more to come

thursday earth day.

well I thought of something that would be fun, We bought a lot of seeds at Target, sunflowers, baby's breath and then one of a bunch of wild flowers. I thought that today would be a great day to plant them, considering it's earth day and all. I'll wait for Nixon to get home from work so we can all do it together as a little family. Meeka seems good today, she got up 830 as usually and then asked to go down for her nap around 1130. She's been soo good lately. She asks to go to sleep and to go down for her naps. She's turning into such a big girl. Last night though after she was in bed it took her awhile to go to sleep. I'm sure because she slept most of the day it was hard for her. I know Nixon had a hard time going to sleep. Last night we watched this show called Cougartown, I had heard of it but didn't really think anything of it, oh my word it was really funny, Nixon and I watched them back to back and laughed out loud. It was great! Anyway hopefully we'll post some pics later of the great new flowers growing for earthday.

yucky sick day

well today has started out as no fun. Meeka was up at around 4am as soon as I walked into her room I knew that she had threw up. (poor baby). She was crying of course so I changed her and cleaned off her monkeys, luckily she didn't get any on her blankets , it was just a little spit up. So after that I held her and walked around the house trying to get her to go back to sleep. I took her in my room just to ensure that she was o.k. it's harder for her to sleep there but I feel better about the situation, then again at 5am she was sick, this time I got the brunt of it my shirt was covered with puke and she was crying. So by this time is when Nixon usually wakes up for work. I called him to get up and help me, luckily he got up quickly to come help. I feel so helpless in these situations. after we changed her again and myself things calmed down I asked Nixon to go get her some pedialite at the store and some motrin incase she had a fever. She didn't feel warm but we were out and as long as he was going out I figured he might as well get some. So by this time Meeka was getting settled it was around 7:30 and she finally went to sleep. Nixon called into work so he is home for the day. We all got up around 11am again. I'm so glad she got some good sleep in . After we got up I made some pancakes and sausages. So far she has been her little old self, a little clingy but her spirits seem up and she's walking around and being her normal self. I hope that it was just a little upset stomach and nothing else. She doesn't have a fever or anything else. I'll see how the rest of the day goes, everyone is taking a nap again so hopefully things will be back to normal :)

car-time tuesday

Well so far today has been good. Meeka got up a little late, she threw a fit to go outside, so in her pj's and all it was outside. She loves to go in the car and just play. So that's exactly what we did. For a long time now when we go somewhere Nixon will put her on his lap and have her help him back out of the garage, honk the horn, have fun :) So today that's what she wanted to do. She climbed all over the car, we were in there for over an hour. It was easy and she loved it, getting her out of the car was anther story. So that's our morning so far, more to come later :)

Well I must say that the day just got better once Nixon got home. He took Meeka for a bike ride while I started dinner, he came back moments later to let me know that there was a sandbox down the road on the curb with a free sign on it..... REALLY how awesome is that. I've been looking for one on craigs list for awhile and here one is just down the road for FREE. It needed to be washed up a little bit but Meeka will never know the difference. So anyway there are some cute pics, it was impossible to get her to come in tonight. She went straight to the tub!!! She was a dirty mess. So tonight we're going to watch our netflix movie hopefully it's good, the girl who leapt through time. We've been watching a lot of japenese animation so hopefully this one will be good.

music monday

Well today was an actual good monday :) Meeka and I got a lot done, we had to go grocery shopping early because we ran out of cat food, so off to Walmart we went. It was a quick trip, I wanted to get it done early though, cause sometimes later on in the day she can get fussy. If I went early enough she would still be waking up. So as soon as she was up I dressed her and we were out the door. She was still a little hazy at the store, but still ever so cute!! So we came home had some eggs and sausages had a little playtime and it was down for a good nap. In the meantime I figured out this blogging business with pictures and got some laundry started.

Once daddy got home it was yea!!! Nixon had brought home some speakers from work for Meeka to use with the ipod, she loved it!! She honestly really loves music of all sorts. As soon as we turn on the music on the bookcase she runs over there and starts to dance. It's ever so cute to watch. Well after some play time with the speakers I got to get my work-out on the wii. I really love this I can choose which work-outs I want to do and how much. I usually only do about 20 minutes but I work up a good sweat and it feels GREAT!! So afterwards it was outside for some playtime. Meeka and daddy kicked the ball around. She is great at soccer, it's soo cute to watch her chase the ball around and kick it. She has great soccer skills. She gets the concept that the ball needs to be kicked into the net which is awesome. I think she'll take after her daddy here :) After some soccer daddy thought it was a good idea to have her dig in the garden. Not so good of an idea. Anyway she got covered in dirt and my garden still needs to be dug up. My strawberries are coming up and onions from last year. It's awesome to watch. I love gardening and growing my own veggies and also watching the flowers grow. I use to kill everything but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Anyway after some digging up it was time to come in. You would think it was the end of the world the way she throws a fit. We keep her out as long as possible then take her straight to the bath, which she loves!!! After that some milk and wubbzy and time for bed. She goes down pretty good now. Tonight Jeremy and his boss came and picked up our old t.v. Great condition, just big and it's a tube t.v. not flat. So the thing weighs A TON!!! They came and took it off our hands which I was glad to get rid of!! Afterwards Nixon and I had a little bit of time for some wii again. It was some basketball, I'm so competitive that I kept on beating Nixon, I got up to his record of 24, he didn't even get that :) Anyway after that it was time to hit the hay.

well, as I'm finally getting the hang of this blogging thing :) Hopefully I forgot to add that we went out and got Meeka an easel, one side is dry erase and the other side is chalk board. Well she loves it. I got her washable markers instead of dry erase because they come out of her clothes. I just thought I would add it and show some cute pics :)

weekend 4-19-10

well of course this weekend went extremely too fast!!!. It's been kinda funny lately Nixon has been going to sleep earlier than I have on the weekend of course I have to give him a hard time :) On Sat he has been working quite a bit lately, so I try not to tease him too bad. This weekend on Sat he had to work once again, so it was Meeka and I. I don't mind it, he usually only works a half a day so it isn't bad. Friday night I was craving chinese so we ordered that for dinner, it was AWESOME!! We get delivery from a local place and it usually lasts us about 2 meals for the money which is good. Friday night Meeka decided to get up at 3am I don't know what was going on, but I had to get up walk around with her and then eventually rock her to sleep. Part of me secretly loves it the other part wants my sleep. But then on Sat she woke up and we did some cleaning around the house and waited for daddy to come home.

Sunday was a restful day (not) again Meeka was up at 3am and then I put her to sleep around 4am, She thankfully slept until 9 after that so it was good. Nixon mowed the front of the lawn today, I seriously hate our yard, it seems like every year we rake it try and mow it and take care of it and it still doesn't grow that good and look nice . So I think this year we're kinda giving up on all the hard work, we'll do the basics and that's about it. Lately Meeka has been seriously into stickers, I got some cute pics today of her taking the stickers off and putting them on her face and on her daddy. Oh also lately now when she decides to throw a fit she screams MAMA which is ever so nice let me tell you about it. We stayed at home followed by some left overs for dinner. Meeka went down and then Nixon and I got some good wii time in. We've really enjoyed the wii, I like the pad the most it's more physical exercise, he enjoys archery and tennis. Last night it was basketball, I kept on going on and going until I beat my record of 20. of course Nixon's was 24 but we had a lot of fun doing it. So now this is something the two of us will play. It's also cute to watch Meeka try and run and jump on the pad, hopefully sooner or later she'll get the hang of it. I sometimes hold her and do the workout, which is even harder :) But that was the funfilled weekend of the Madrids.

wii had fun

Last night we went and returned one of our games and bought one that uses the dance pad. We did some jumping games and wack a mole with Meeka. It was soo cute and she enjoyed it. Surprsingly I got quite a work out from it. I had to go to a tank top. So I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some exercise from it and enjoy it all. Afterwards when she went to bed Nixon and I played rabbids it's such a funny game you laugh pretty good!! Meeka didn't wake up through any of it so it was a good time :)

Today is Friday Nixon woke up late again today, he didn't feel good and wanted to call in, but he goes in so early that there is no-one there to call into. So I don't know if he's going to make it through the entire day??? I got a coupon from my mom for 30% off gymboree but it's for full price only I might return some stuff of mine and then re-buy it on-line because none of it was on-sale when I got it. but anyway that's it for now.

my little helper

Well

again it's been awhile since I've been on here, getting better but not perfect. Well I feel that spring has officially sprung here. It's been raining a lot lately which is nice, the dandilions are out in full force. It's pretty cute, Meeka thinks that they're flowers and she goes around picking them.

Yesterday she was my little helper. She saw me sweeping up the kitchen and just had to get in on the fun. It was really cute, she had the dust pan and the little broom and she was going around sweeping the whole house.

I think that she has officially hit the terrible two stages though, she throws a tantrum over everything every day it seems like. She just doesn't have a day where it's o.k. and she doesn't cry. It seems like I have a headache now everyday too which doesn't help the situation.

Last night we got a wii or yesterday, anyway last night we set it up Nixon and I had a lot of fun with it, we've been debating on what to get upstairs, we had a blu-ray, than we were going to get a ps3 and now we have a wii, so hopefully this will work out. I'm excited for it, I'm hoping that Meeka will get into it too and have some fun.
